Rigo started off great and got even better. I live in DC, but got a job in San Diego. We didn’t know anybody there, but had been looking on Zillow and found an interesting house. Zillow asked if we had an agent, we said no, filled in some info, and 15 minutes later Rigo called me on a Sunday evening ready to get started. Rigo pushed us to look at other properties and found some great options that made our decision hard. In the end, we stuck with our first choice, but have a keener understanding of why it’s the right house for us. He could have just let us run with our initial choice, but felt it was his duty to give us options. Unfortunately, the kind of houses we were interesting in were not interesting to our lender. Our lender backed out, but Rigo found us a broker who found a lender willing to make our deal happen. He also stepped in when the seller’s agent slipped up with their client and missed communicating some schedule changes. Rigo protected the relationship between us directly with the seller so that further delays (more lender issues) and technicalities (pre close conditions in the septic tank) didn’t cause the seller to back out in frustration. Rigo navigated all this in the midst of COVID, rising interest rates, and economic uncertainty. This was a hard deal to close, but Rigo saw it through with a steady hand.
